Cashback on your online shopping sounds pretty good…and it is! Essentially, Shopback gets a bit of commission to refer you to a business and they share it with you (see a further explanation from their website at the bottom of the post).
ShopBack is the smarter way to shop - we give you cashback when you shop online with us. The cashback you accumulate in ShopBack can then be withdrawn into your bank account or via Paypal! Where does the money come from? Well, our partners pay us a commission every time a successful order is placed through us. We share that commission with you, the customer, as cashback! It's absolutely free to join. So why not enjoy the additional savings?

Example: Before COVID I was doing a lot of booking for my honeymoon and I like to organise the itinerary myself. So, every time I booked accommodation, I would go through Shopback into booking.com, Agoda, hotels.com, etc and get cashback on my bookings. It is great because you kind of forget about it then come back to your account when it is eventually available to be withdrawn. Then you see $50 and are like, I will take that haha. I have been a bit less active lately, but I have put some screenshots below. You could take full advantage of this and do things like Woolworths online, Iconic if you shop a lot or utilise their Special Super Shopbacks! Oh and obviously the app is free! Otherwise, I wouldn’t be talking about it. My mantra with this is to only utilise when you are going to purchase something anyway. Don't get caught in the marketing web.
Now you understand the value let me give you the specs.
- Free to use
- I have made about $200 on purchases which I was going to make anyway in about a year
- Download the app by using this link and start with a free $5 and I get $5 to. Thanks in advance 😊
- Shopback percentage varies a lot but the idea is lots of little savings adds up to big savings!
Now let’s give you the things to watch out for/note.
- Now this is a marketing application and although savings are good you can find yourself spending money to save money just because a deal is too good. If you are that type of person then you are best to turn off notifications and emails and only utilise it when you go to purchase something.
- Shopback can take a long time to come through and it varies from shop to shop so don’t expect speedy money, expect it to take a long time. Then when it comes through it will be like putting on pants with $20 note in it that you forgot about.
- I always cash out when I can because you are not earning interest while the money is sitting in there.
- Minimum $10 withdrawal
